Sample Event Posting ver 1.0

This is the sample post to present how to record SoL Events.

Our first-ever "Community Cafe" was held on Friday July 6, 2012 at Doubletree Hotel Bedford Glen. This is a half-day event to share the latest implementation of Peter's Systems Thinking and Systems Dynamics in a number of fields along with the speeches by a few other thought leaders. Peter talked about the core leadership capabilities and three crucial components of them; Aspiration, Reflection, and Dealing with Complexity. In the world of increasing interdependence, no single individual or single organization can create a large-scale change. It can be achieved only through the collaboration across boundaries.

The workshop helps you to practice disciplines from the Fifth Discipline; self-mastery, shared vision, mental model, team learning, and systems thinking.

This was a very rare and valuable opportunity to meet and talk with Peter in a proximity like this. Each of the SoL's programs has the seats limited to 38 members each time. This is because we value your presence at the workshop and would like you to feel known, heard, and engaged in the community of learning.

Exercise: Wall presents you how to see the larger systems and interdependence of the apparently independent issues. The speech is bold, energetic and moving. "People often think there is a lever behind CEO's desk by pulling which he/she can instantly change the organization, but it's not true." Dialogue with the other participants sits at the core of your learning experience. World Cafe is a technique frequently used in SoL's events. The member of 3-4 in each group shares the learning and questions among each other. This is where you can practice the active listening skills and see the mental models of yours as well as the others.
